2019 Light It Up Calgary

For the 5th year, the Light It Up Calgary event, ran by Wellspring Calgary, was held to support cancer survivors. As one of our ongoing partners, Calgary Italian Bakery was once again honoured to support this great event, by donating over 1000 cookies to those participating in the event.

Wellspring Calgary offers crucial programs and services to all those living with cancer and those who love them. Wellspring Calgary provided 35,000 hours of caring support to people living with cancer in 2018 to 5,670 members. Light It Up Calgary is a fun walk or run that occurs after dark, with participants completing the course with a headlamp in order to “Light Up” the city.

Being a local company, CIBL will continue to sponsor these fantastic events, which not only brings Calgary together, but also raises funds for just a couple of the many charitable organizations in our great city.
