  • CIBL Helps Host BBQ in Support of Fort McMurray

    Calgary Italian Bakery joined Predator Drilling, Clean Harbors, Spolumbos Fine Foods and Deli, Big Fish Staffing in hosting a lunchtime fundraiser BBQ. Proceeds of the event went to the Canadian Red Cross to support those displaced by the Fort McMurray fire. Hundreds lined up to enjoy the BBQ in support of those affected by the fires. CIBL thanks everyone who came out and support this important cause!

  • Tom Baker Cancer Centre Donation

    “The money goes back to the clinical trial … so the money benefits the patients directly,” said Henning, adding a $50,000 donation from Calgary Italian Bakery was a huge boost to their fundraising efforts.

    “They certainly helped out tremendously,” said Henning.

    Calgary Italian Bakery owners David Bontorin, his brother Louis and their father Luigi knew they wanted to celebrate their 50th year in business but decided to forgo a party in exchange for a donation to battle cancer.

    “We said … we should do something that’s going to be longer lasting,” said Bontorin.
